It can be extremely expensive to feed the constant demand for content from a wide range of audiences. Companies crave content—high-quality, timely, and accurate content that is brand supportive and designed to connect and compel target audiences to some desired action. To achieve these goals content providers, publishers, and organizations must establish content review processes. These processes generally involve multiple touchpoints, and many eyeballs. Everyone is reviewing content for different reasons—from grammar, spelling, and style compliance, to SEO, content accuracy, and more. Content marketers in regulated industries are subject to even more scrutiny.
Unfortunately, more reviews means more costs. Circular rounds of review squeeze the life out of carefully crafted content.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is widely seen as a game changer in how our world operates, both now and especially in the future. With any revolutionary change, there are often both strong advocates and vehement detractors. Much of that polarization comes from the fact that major societal disruptions often have both winners and losers. Take globalization as an example. While an increasingly interconnected global economy with more open trade has meant cheaper prices for consumers in developed nations, it has often also meant that employees in some sectors are displaced as industries move to countries with lower costs of production. Recently, we did a presentation on strategic content marketing for the 2016 International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) International Conference, and we thought the continued and growing interest in the subject bears further discussion, especially for entrepreneurs.
Many entrepreneurs may have heard the term content marketing without much context or elaboration.
